WHO WE ARE
Young people account for more than half of Papua New Guinea’s population. According to the 2011 Census, almost 60 per cent of the population are under the age of 25. Youth are important assets for the economic, political, and social life of communities. They bring new ideas and perspectives, and can be strong drivers of social change. Their growth and development is fundamental to a well-functioning society.
U-Report PNG will hear thoughts and perspectives on government responsibilities with regards to preventing violence, community awareness and the role of youth across the country.
Youth voices will help inspire further action and the refinement of programme interventions, mobilise government to take action, and strengthen the case for greater investment in protection services and programmes.
